Our Story
1996 was a good year.
That’s when we first launched Heywood Associates.
At the time, there were a small number of recruitment-to-recruitment firms out there, but not all had the same intention as we did.
We were on a mission – to change the recruitment-to-recruitment landscape.
We approached the sector having had recruitment backgrounds ourselves, spanning the professional and financial services sectors. We felt there was a desperate need to bring the professionalism we had always offered our corporate clients to the rec-to-rec sector.

Sam Gee
Director
Sam has 8 years’ experience within agency recruitment with brands that include Robert Walters and Barclay Simpson.
He developed his recruitment career within Risk Management across the Buy and Sell Side and has an in-depth understanding of what drives successful recruitment businesses. Having enjoyed success within the financial services sector, Sam knows what good looks like, and which firms offer the best opportunities.
Whether you are seeking your next move, or planning on attracting the best talent, Sam offers an honest and transparent service; straightforward advice, and a strong emphasis on providing bespoke solutions.
Outside of work, you’ll find Sam exploring new cuisines and riding the emotional rollercoaster of being an Arsenal fan – it’s all about resilience, right?
Josh Gee
Director
Josh has 8 years’ recruitment experience having worked at Robert Walters, Cedar Recruitment and Michael Page where he specialised in Finance & Accountancy and Corporate Treasury.
Josh joins the Recruitment-to-Recruitment world with a strong understanding of how businesses operate at both the FTSE level as well as owner-managed businesses.
Having a proven track record climbing the corporate ladder and leading teams, Josh knows what good looks like and is on hand to offer truly unbiased and value-added advice to candidates and clients alike.
Outside of work, you will find Josh at The Arsenal or running after his son at soft play.
