Simon Gee MREC - Managing Director
Simon is the Founder and Managing Director of Heywood and has worked within the recruitment sector for more than 13 years. Following his education at Mill Hill School, he completed a Marketing Diploma before commencing a career in the City. After spending a number of years in equity trading and property finance, he fell into the recruitment sector and decided that this could be the start of a great career.
In addition to his work at Heywood, Simon was a co-founder of Supporta Plc (SOR), a support service business that successfully listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in February 2001.
Simon regularly attends and contributes to the REC’s Recruitment to Recruitment Sector Group. He is married with two teenage boys and enjoys golf and travelling.
Jo Palmer - Manager - Accountancy & Banking
Jo joined Heywood at the beginning of 2007 and manages Heywood Associates. As a fee earner, she takes responsibility for the Accountancy and Banking practice. Prior to joining Heywood, Jo built a successful career with a North London-based Employment Agency as an Accountancy & Secretarial recruiter. She cannot be described as a job hopper having spent 9 years with her previous firm.
When not recruiting accountancy and banking recruiters, Jo enjoys spending time with her children and travelling to exotic places. Jo is a very competent scuba diver.
Susie Lewis - Senior Consultant - Commercial & Secretarial
Susie joined us in early 2008 from a boutique recruitment consultancy in North London. She has taken over our very busy commercial and secretarial recruitment to recruitment practice and brings a wealth of experience with her. When not placing secretarial recruiters, Susie enjoys travelling and spending time with her teenage children (when they let her).
Paul Lenzan - Consultant - Legal & Insurance
Paul joined us in 2007 initially as a graduate researcher fresh from Manchester University where he obtained a 2.1 in Archaeology. After excelling as a headhunter (not surprising with his background in digging), he quickly climbed the ranks to become an Associate and is now in charge of our busy legal and insurance recruitment to recruitment practice. When not placing recruiters, Paul enjoys playing golf and football along with taking care of Rambo, his female pet rabbit.
Paul Skinner - Researcher
Paul spent a number of years working within the hospitality and real estate sectors before joining Heywood. Since joining, he has produced great results with his candidate generation for our Legal, Insurance and Secretarial sectors. Paul has a BA Hons in Fine Art from Middlesex University.
Jane Lamont - Finance & Marketing Director
Jane is Heywood’s Finance Director and has been with the business since the start. Jane ensures that we don’t spend too much money and is normally the first one on the case when money is outstanding. She is responsible for all advertising and is normally so frustrated by our inability to write good adverts, she can often be found rewriting them on deadline day.
Prior to joining Heywood, Jane spent many years within the Publishing industry.
She is a dog lover, enjoys gardening, travel and spending time with her grandchildren.
Anna Craig - Team Secretary/Office Administrator
Anna joined Heywood in early 2008 having travelled to London from Brisbane on a working holiday visa. Before joining us she worked as a Medical secretary in her native Australia. When not typing CVs and taking care of all of us in the office, Anna enjoys socialising and travelling. She plans to study Acting in the future.
